Right now we are preparing for this years’s Islay Tour and we have some really nice happenings planned at our eight stops. We hope you are as exited as we are and hope to see you there!

Some are singing in the rain. We are digging in the bog. During spring we start digging the peat that gives Ardbeg its characteristic taste and aroma. It is hard work but someone has got to do it.

On 1st June 2013 we will release our brand new whisky Ardbog. This is how our experts describe it: “Ardbog gives of an aroma of many different flavours, from pecan nuts and salty toffee to leather and lavender. Add some water and you will discover its perfumed notes of smoked rhubarb and aged balsamic vinegar. Upon tasting you will experience the powerful and salty burst of flavours like cashew, green olives and a hint of anchovy, followed by a long aftertaste of Ardbeg’s classic sweetness kept in check by oak tannins and coffee grounds.”

As you may know Islay is a bog. A bog of peat. So what suits better than to launch a brand new whiskey called Ardbog on 1st June 2013. Make sure not to have any other plans on the 1st of June!
